Hello Lovely Ladies,

Today I have a manicure featuring three items that are new to me, that I would like to review for you… all in one go :D So hold on tight, it will be an information-packed post ;)

They are:

OPI Toucan Do It If You Try from the OPI Brazil collection

Emily de Molly plate EDM04

BornPrettyStore Colorful Crystal Rhinestones (coupon code MARTAK31 for 10% off)

I started off with two coats of OPI Toucan Do It If You Try.  While OPI describes this as a ‘confident orange’ I definitely see some coral undertones making this shade quite wearable for all skintones.  I generally steer away from orange shades, but ever since Cult Nails Be Loco joined my collection I have been more open to coral-orange lacquers.  If you’re curious how Toucan Do It If You Try compares Be Loco, the OPI shade is just a little bit paler, more subdued, and more coral than the vibrant Cult Nails.

The formula on this is perfection.

Two smooth coats for full glossy opacity:

Next, I reached for my new Emily de Molly plate, EDM04:

The Emily de Molly plates are all delicate images etched to perfection.  The detail and fine lines in her plates are really breathtaking!

 Image size – Approximately 18mm high x 15mm wide

Plate size – 7cm in diameter

 Plate material – Stainless steel

This plate comes with a blue protective film which must be removed before you use it.

I really wanted to try out the wispy peacock feather designs… my middle and ring finger are stamped with the topmost image, and my pinky and pointer finger are stamped using an isolated portion of the ‘full nail’ image on the bottom left.  It was nice to be able to pick a smaller feather for the pinky, that still vibes with the full manicure.  I opted for a ‘retro-ish’ color combo and stamped with Color Club Take Me to Your Chateau.

And, because it seems that I cannot keep my hands off of the matte topcoats recently, I mattified the look and added a BornPrettyStore colorful crystal.

(144 crystals retail for $4.05 + free shipping.  Coupon Code MARTAK31 will save you 10% at checkout)

Allow me to just take a moment to tell you how lovely these crystals are.  I recently bough some Swarovski element crystals at Michaels Caft Store and paid an arm and a leg (and a kidney) for a miniscule container.  These crystals are affordable with the same amount of color shifting shine.  Absolutely AMAZING!
